RSSAstec Mobile Screens (3763 KPI-JCI and 3607 Astec Mobile Screens) has been recognised for achieving a superior safety rating for Astec Industries’ companies in 2015.

At the time of the award, the company had gone 745 days without a recordable accident for its 100 associates employed at the manufacturing facility, according to Tim Gonigam, president of Astec Mobile Screens.

Astec Mobile Screens is one of three Astec Industries’ companies that make up KPI-JCI and Astec Mobile Screens, and manufactures equipment for the aggregate, construction and recycling industries.

As a result of its dedication to safety, the company was honoured with an award from parent corporation Astec Industries.

Gonigam said the employees’ commitment to safety reflects the company’s core values, which advocate safety, profit and growth as means to ensure success of the company.

“We are incredibly proud of our 100 associates who have prioritized safety as an integral part of our day-to-day operations,” Gonigam said.

“Our goal is always to have everyone be safe and injury-free. This can be difficult to achieve in the manufacturing industry, but every day we make it our goal to have zero recordable incidents.”
