Impressed with the service and product performance they have been receiving from 3702 CDE Global following an initial purchase of a CDE M2500 sand washing plant for their site in 2013, Kuwait-based Associated Construction Company (ASCO) has now added a second, more powerful sand washing installation.

With the construction industry widely considered to be leading economic growth in Kuwait, the future of sand washing looks bright and demand for quality washed sand is growing at a healthy rate.

In line with this trend, ASCO had to adapt to increased demand for quality washed sand from customers in Kuwait, ranging from ready-mixed concrete companies to construction project managers. Following discussions with their dedicated CDE Global project manager, ASCO decided to complement their site operations with a CDE M4500 sand washing installation, now operating alongside the M2500 unit. This is said to have dramatically increased capacity, creating an extra 240tonnes/hour within ASCO’s sand washing operations.

Khaled Nasr, ASCO plants manager, said: “When we purchased the M2500, it was the most advanced sand washing system available in Kuwait and it has served our needs very well. But two years down the line and having significantly increased our production thanks to the efficiency of our CDE equipment, we found ourselves needing an additional plant to answer growing demand for our quality products.

“It made sense to purchase the CDE M4500, a powerful upgrade of the M2500. We decided to call on CDE Global again as our initial collaboration on designing, building and commissioning the M2500 was very positive.

“We already knew that CDE products were built to last, with high operational efficiencies and would deliver the quality and tonnage per hour we required. It was an easy decision. The addition of the M4500 to our processing capability will ensure that the sand products we offer are of the highest quality available in Kuwait.”

Coupled with a CDE AquaCycle thickener which reduces environmental impact by recycling 90% of used water, Nasr said ASCO’s M Series plants are a “winner all round”.

CDE M2500 and the M4500 plants have been successfully installed across a number of other regions including Europe, Latin America, Russia, India, South Africa and Australia. In addition to sand and gravel, they have been applied in the processing of crushed rock, scalpings, construction and demolition waste recycling and iron ore fines washing.
