Plantworx Innovation Awards winners

The 7345 Plantworx Innovation Award have been announced at a ceremony held at 10-11 Cartlon Terrace House in central London, the former home of British Prime Minister William Gladstone.

Hosted by 4444 CEA (Construction Equipment Association)’s chief executive, Rob Oliver, guests gathered to celebrate the winners of the 2017 Innovation Awards, which recognise and celebrate innovative companies, products and services that have made a major impact in the construction equipment industry.

Winner: 5782 Red Rhino Crushers for the Red Rhino 5000 electric tracked crusher.
Highly Commended: 7497 Wacker Neuson  for the WL20e electric wheeled loader
Highly Commended: Avant Tecno (UK) for the  E5 and E6 fully electric compact loader series

Engineering (sponsored by 437 Leica Geosystems)
Winner: 633 JCB for its new Hydradig wheeled excavator.
Runner-up: Brokk, SmartPower electrical system that has been fitted in Brokk’s radio-controlled demolition machine.

Efficiency (sponsored by Datatag)
Winner: 6579 Marubeni-Komatsu, PC210LCi intelligent machine control crawler excavator.
Runner-up: Gecko, TruckLoader skip system, designed to make muck away safer, easier and more efficient.

Non-operated Plant and Support Products (sponsored by CEA)
Winner: Securi-Cabin, smart pick welfare unit, which are designed to be placed on site without a crane.
Runner-up: SiteStak, a simple system for storing drainage and ducting materials and accessories on site.

Safety
Winner: Husqvarna, DXR dust reduction kit, designed by Husqvarna for all its DXR robots for use with a range of 385 Atlas Copco breakers.
Highly Commended: Tufftruk, Truxta rigid 4x4 micro dumper.
Highly Commended: Rhinox Buckets, Uni-tusk X1 tooth and blade system that has no sharp edges.
