To celebrate having zero accidents over last 12 months at its Noyon site, the French branch of building materials group 643 Cemex held a reception. The site also received ISO 14001 certification for environmental safety efforts at its concrete production centres.

The Noyon site produces almost 30,000m3 of concrete each year.

Environmental efforts include noise and air pollution reduction, rain water recuperation and used concrete recycling, among others. The director for Cemex units in the Picardie region noted that zero work accidents and ISO 14001 certification are targets for all 330 of the group's French sites in 2014.
