French tile and brick market expected to drop 5% in 2013

According to Bruno Martinet, the managing director of the French Federation for Tiles and Bricks (or FFTB), the French tile and brick market is expected to drop 5% by late 2013 from turnover of €919 million in 2012 while 2014 is expected to bring a drop of 3% to 5%. The brick market is mostly concerned with new construction, a segment that is less dynamic than renovation. According to Bruno Martinet, the managing director of the French Federation for Tiles and Bricks (or FFTB), the French tile and brick market is expected to drop 5% by late 2013 from turnover of €919 million in 2012 while 2014 is expected to bring a drop of 3% to 5%.

The brick market is mostly concerned with new construction, a segment that is less dynamic than renovation.

The FFTB has 96 members, 500 direct jobs and production of 4.7 million tonnes in 149 factories throughout France. Tile represents 52% of the members' production and bricks 43%.
