According to Enthus Asnawi, the finance manager of 7481 Wijaya Karya Beton (Wika Beton), the concrete company has generated IDR 1.2 trillion (€76.79 million) from its initial public offering (IPO).

The proceeds will be used to finance its expansion including plant expansion. Expansion will be carried to several areas including to Sulawesi, Java and Sumatra.

The state company plans to expand overseas in late 2014 in partnership with its parent company, Wijaya Karya, to Algeria as well as the Middle East and the Philippines.

Wilfred Sangkali, president director, said the company will also set up a plant in Myanmar, with construction expected to begin in late 2014. The plant will be set up with a local company.

Meanwhile, there are also plans to set up new plants in Indonesia's Makassar, Cilegon and Lampung, with construction expected for completion in the middle of 2015, said Sangkali.

The cost of each plant would reach as much as IDR 175 billion.

Meanwhile, the company's quarry plant in Bogor is set to become operational in October 2014. The plant, in which the company invested a total of IDR 100 billion, would have the capacity to produce as much as 350tonnes/hour on one processing machine.

Additionally, Wika Beton has acquired andesite rock quarries in Sulawesi, Sumatra and Java.
