Privately-owned Cooper Freer has 18 employees and is located in Leicester with a strong market presence in the Midlands region of England.

Cooper Freer will become part of the service division within the compressor technique business area at Sweden-based Atlas Copco, which provides compressed air machinery, electrical generators, dewatering pumps and light towers for use in applications including quarrying.

“We have a long history of working closely with Cooper Freer," said Vagner Rego, ausiness area president compressor technique at Atlas Copco. “Through this acquisition we will get the opportunity to better serve current customers and grow our market presence in a key region in the UK.”

The purchase price has not been disclosed.
