OTR (off the road) tyre specialist 8840 Magna Tyres Group has expanded capacity at its Hardenberg plant in the Netherlands for the second time in three months.

Following the increase in capacity for the 26.5R25 and 29.5R25 product lines announced in August, production will now rise to 7.000 tyres in the 17.5R25, 20.5R25 and 23.5R25 tyre ranges in 2019.

Magna Tyres says the growth is in keeping with its 2018-2023 business plan to continue the increase of production and improve product availability for the company’s customer base worldwide.

“The combination of innovative European engineered technology and the Hardenberg/NL production ensures the premium quality manufacturing required to provide end users with the lowest cost per hour performance, for which Magna is renowned,” the company said in a statement.

It added that the production at the plant is not subject to Chinese anti-dump tariffs and therefore offers advantages to customers in specific countries such as America, Turkey and Brazil.
