Cemex delivers custom made concrete for Glassell School of Art

July 24, 2018

Cemex has supplied more than 16,000 cubic metres of custom-made concrete for the Glassell School of Art in Houston. The school, over 8,500 square metres, features an L-shaped design with angles, depths and exposed beams and surfaces which required several specialty concrete mixes.

Through the agreement, Cemex has provided different tailor-made concrete mixed over two and a half years. In addition, the company delivered hand-mixed batches of white concrete, with every pour controlled by an on-site quality specialist.

Alexis Evans, market development manager of Cemex USA’s Texas region, says: “The service schedule was demanding and challenging, so it was very important for us to deliver exactly what the customer wanted, precisely when they needed it.”
