Colombia's Cementos Argos sees post-Covid-19 recovery getting closer

Colombian cement group Cementos Argos says that its business is recovering from the Covid-19 crisis and that the company can see positive signs for the future.

According to Tomás Restrepo, vice president of Cementos Argos in Colombia: “Volumes are recovering in an important way," despite the fact that "during quarantine we closed more than 100 new infrastructure projects.

"We trust in a positive future, in our resilience and in the ability to face challenges.

"We have extraordinarily talented people who are aware of the importance of self-care and who work every day on good ideas. We will continue to be the best possible partner for our clients ”

Cementos Argos delivered to more than 5,300 clients in May. The monthly key statistics for May 2020 show that the company dispatched 57% of its normal volumes and that 88% of the infrastructure projects is supplies were back at work.

44 of the group's 58 Colombian concrete plants are now back in operation.
