Neil Seldon, chairman of 6887 Roskill Information Services based in London, UK, has announce the promotion of Robert Baylis to managing director of the company, which provides multi-client and bespoke market research services to the minerals and metals industry.

In his new role, Baylis will oversee the production of Roskill’s multi-client market reports and provision of consultancy services, and will also continue in his current role of manager, Minor Metals Research.

In addition, Alison Saxby has been promoted to director and manager, Industrial Minerals Research.

Growing demand for Roskill’s products and services has also seen the recent addition of three new senior analysts to the team.

Baylis said: “Roskill’s core competency is the provision of high-quality metals and minerals market insight and analysis, which it has been providing for over 40 years. I look forward to working with Alison and the expanded team to strengthen the business going forward. We will continue to grow and develop our ability to serve our clients whilst following our philosophy of being approachable, independent and expert.”

Over the last year, Roskill has published multi-client reports on several metals and minerals, including graphite, molybdenum, antimony, calcium carbonate, petroleum coke and manganese, and undertaken consultancy assignments on markets for products such as boron, lithium, rare earths and tungsten.
