Of the deal, Flannery director Patrick Flannery said: “This latest deal with Finning is the first time we have invested in Caterpillar general construction telehandlers. We have seen increased demand in the Cat TH414 model category in particular, as the market picks up. In addition we have also seen demand for dozers coming back and being the first company to offer the Cat D6N for hire will be a real asset to our business.

“We are definitely seeing customers far more focused on fuel burn and productivity. This is why within this deal we looked to combine the new equipment with the backup of the Finning Finsight engineering team that will be monitoring our units, no matter where they are in the UK.

Critically for our business, it is all about how we service our customers and this is why we keep coming back to Finning, as their understanding of our organisation and partnership approach really does make an important difference.”

Finning’s sales representative for the south east, Matt Revell, said: “Flannery is a well-known player in the plant hire market, with a very large and diverse fleet. With this deal, we have broken into its telehandler fleet offering for the first time. This is vital to us, as more customers are going to be exposed to these types of machines. The continued focus on service is also very positive, as we are able to make a real difference to the end users experience through preventative maintenance.”
