Elite Motors, Sandvik Construction’s authorised agent in Georgia, hosted the landmark event, attracting more than 60 representatives from the government, universities, local and international companies.

The Elite Motors-led customer day followed on from a series of similar events held in Turkey and other parts of Georgia’s neighbouring region. Attendees at the Elite Motors event learnt more about Sandvik Construction’s products, as well as the services Elite Motors can offer.

Zviad Antelidze, managing director of Elite Motors, was joined by Guga Klibadze, the company’s sales manager, and Vano Babunashvili, Elite Motors aftermarket manager, in highlighting how the firm could not only supply a wide variety of Sandvik Construction equipment, but also support customer operations through servicing and advice.

Assisting the Elite Motors Customer team were representatives from Sandvik Construction Turkey and Central Asia. They were able to explain the attributes of Sandvik’s drill rigs and breakers, as well as answering any questions from customer day attendees.

The event included two case study presentations involving Georgian sites using Elite Motors sold Sandvik Construction equipment. One consisted of the SCC crushing and screening plant in Tbilisi; the other focused on the 10 DD421-60C jumbo drill rigs operated by AGE Insaat in Batumi.

A Sandvik Construction spokesperson said: “Sandvik Construction’s first customer event in the Caucasus proved to be a great success as it enabled us to further introduce our products and services to the construction industry in the region. We would like to express our gratitude to Elite Motors for hosting the event, and a special thanks to all our guests who made the occasion so worthwhile.”
