Paul Bancroft is new MHEA president

Members of The Materials Handling Equipment Association (MHEA), which has supported the interests of UK and overseas companies supplying and using powder and bulk handling equipment for nearly 75 years, has elected a new president.

RSSMembers of The 5117 Materials Handling Equipment Association (MHEA), which has supported the interests of UK and overseas companies supplying and using powder and bulk handling equipment for nearly 75 years, has elected a new president.

Paul Bancroft, sales and marketing director of 5118 Continental Conveyor Products who was elected President at the association's recent annual meeting takes over the role from Brian Mackenzie who served the MHEA in that capacity for two years.

A well known figure within the materials handling industry, Paul has worked with a number of corporations including the 5119 Harsco Corporation (USA); Rolls-Royce Industrial Power Group (mining); Redler and Clyde Bergermann. In addition, his extensive sales and marketing expertise has been recognised by being awarded both Fellow status and Companion status by the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management.

Commenting on his new role Paul, who is also an attendee member of APGUS (All Parliamentary Group for Underground Space), said "The MHEA supports many industries within the UK and it is a great honour for me to take over the reigns from Brian.  He will certainly be a hard act to follow.

"I now hope to push ahead in endeavouring to make sure that the MHEA has a greater depth of presence in the industrial markets our members serve. In addition, I will strive to ensure that the MHEA and our members are the first port of reference with appropriate recognition with in our country's various trade and industry departments as our capabilities cover both domestic and international market sectors."
